This place is great for breakfasts, especially on Sundays. I always order a sosage and rasher butty on ciabatta bread, and it never disappoints. They now have lots of 'old school' vegan cakes, such as the sort that has pastry topped with jam and loads of dessicated coconut.
On the flip side, I did once order a curry here that was rubbish, I have to say.
I also don't like the way they charge 30p extra for soya milk. I would visit a lot more often if that were not the case.

I live near this place, and I love it! If you want salads, stay away (go to the Earth Cafe instead), but if you're seeking a cheap fry up, sosage butty, spaghetti, cake (now with vegan options), or Sunday roast, there's nowhere better in Manchester.

Not to be confused with the old Cafe Pop, under new management, refurbished and very different Mod Pop Cafe is a hidden gem selling hand made vege/vegan dishes that will have you coming back for more. Mostly vegan, home made sausages and burgers. Bread from local specialist baker.
Don't be suprised to see the odd celeb down there either with the likes of singers Kate Nash & Will Young amongst recent customers.
