Fantastic... I cannot recommend The Green Way Cafe enough for delicious, quality vegan food!!All the staff are so friendly and efficient and we were surprised how quickly the food arrived.

We were visiting the area and had booked for the Wednesday evening. After tasting the healthy and well presented food, with many vegan choices, we came back for the following next 2 days, whilst we were in the area!! It's a shame we live too far away, but we will visit next time we can.

We visited The Green Way Cafe recently and it was a lovely experience.

The cafe was very clean,it had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There were two rooms to choose from to sit in.

We were served right away by an efficient and pleasant waitress. The drinks menu was very reasonably priced, between us we had nettle and elderflower cordials which were very nice.On the menu chalk board there were about 3 soups and four main courses to choose from plus cakes and scones and other delights on offer from their menu. You could see a selection of the cakes in both rooms. There were gluten free and many vegan choices to choose from.We were impressed that we were given the choice of what portion sizes you desired from obviously: small, medium, or large and the price reflected accordingly. We both decided on cashew and sunflower seed roast with butternut squash layer with redcurrant sauce.Whilst waiting ( which wasnt very long ) we were given a small plate of vegetable flavoured crisps, vegetables and corn chips with a hummous dip after which our order arrived. It came with a luscious and cleverly flavoured salad and a sprinkling of toasted seeds. It was absolutely delicious, one of those meals that you just dont want to end.For dessert I had an ample slice of chocolate sandwich cake with vegan buttercream type icing, and my partner had an apple and almond cake. They were very tasty indeed and both of us savoured every mouthful.By the end of our meal we felt happy indeed. Our only regret was that we hadn't discovered The Green Way Cafe sooner. We would thoroughly recommend it and look forward to returning very soon.A fab find!

A little difficult to find off the main road-it is opposite Royal Bank of Scotland, going up the hill.

The cafe has a small garden and 2 rooms, one is more sophisticated with artwork, a sofa, magazines etc. The other room is for families and has a wide variety of toys, books, train set -my children did not want to leave!

Although the menu choice is a little limited, there were daily specials and 2 varieties of home-made soup.

We really liked the fact we were brought appetisers whilst we waited-crudite, houmous, crisps-yum!

When the food came my kids tucked in with gusto-it looked good and was totally delicious. Moreover I felt it was very reasonably priced for the high quality of the food.

Cakes and warm home-made bread were moreish and I will return soon, despite the fact I live 26 miles away!!

A newly set up cafe by the same people who originally set up the veggy cafe just down the road at Cromford. There is more room and tables here with a small children's play area and tables outside next to a gorgeous herb garden. You know you're getting good local fare when the waitress harvests some herbs from the garden. Friendly staff, good service and they cater well for vegans and celiacs. What more could you ask for?
