This is what I imagined a Paris restaurant to be like. Soft lighting, great and interesting food and fantastic service, led to my best eating-out experience ever! Due to the balmy weather the french doors were wide open allowing some relaxed people- watching on the old, narrow, cobbled rue.

The majority of dishes were vegan and the waitress spoke very good English if you had any questions. I wold also consider the prices here reasonable for Paris with big plus of not choking on cigarette smoke or motorway fumes!

I recommend this place if you want to impress your partner with a really nice romantic meal in Paris.

The ambient was relaxing and the staff very pleasant. The main was tasty, I specially liked the potatoes cooked with rosemary but they used a lot of salt (I woke up in the night feeling thirsty!). Unfortunately they burnt one of the sides of the fake soya chicken, turn it upside down and covered it with the mushroom sauce. I will think twice before I go there again.

Just off the rue de Rivoli lies this little veggie oasis. This used to be a sister restaurant of the Saveurs Veget'Halles (just down the road from here) but they are now not connected. The menus are very similar though, but having visited the Saveurs the night before I think this is a little better, (but also a bit more expensive). Also, they serve alcohol here. The menu du jour was 13 euros which Ken went for (hummus and a assortment including cous cous, lentils and steamed veg), but I plumped for the mushroom roast in blackberry and ginger sauce. This was delicious and unusual and made a very pleasant change.

Lots of vegan choices and unmissable on any visit to Paris
