Absolutely great!! My partner and I went there two nights running - we had intended to go somewhere different the 2nd night but went back because it was so good. We had four different main courses between us and each one was superb, the flavours are quite amazing - I've no idea how they make it taste SO good! The cheesecake was a little disappointing, but definitely the chocolate cake wasn't! Really everything about this restaurant is excellent, I can't praise it enough.

I took some vegan friends here who were used to really good vegan food in the USA, we were all very disappointed with our food and I am surprised so many people give it such great reviews. I like to support all vegan restaurants, but I'm not sure I would go there again. Seitan should be made from scratch not out of a ready made packet.

This place was fantastic. We ate here on the way to see our celtic v Fulham. We went for the buffet which is well worth £7.50.
You get 2 mains we had chickpea curry and veg stirfry and a big salad bar.
Definitely visit this place the food was original and gorgeous.
Even my partners parents who aren't veggie loved it!

For my fiancé's birthday I treated him to a lovely meal out at 222.
As both of us are newish vegans it is usually a nightmare to find a restaurant that will not get really shirty with you when trying to order a meal without any animal ingredients.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted by an extremely friendly and polite young woman who showed us to our seats. She explained all the dishes to us and assured us that everything would be vegan.
On the whole it was very delicious, and recommend it thoroughly even to meat eaters who enjoy healthy eating. After eating it you feel really good inside, no bloated feeling which i used to get when eating dairy.
We were slightly disappointed by the "cheesecake", which was more like an apple sponge, but then i think we were to blame for that as we were kind of new to veganism. I had Chocolate cake with vanilla sauce, mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!
Do have the sun-dried tomatoes and jerusalem artichoke salad, we couldn't get enough of that!
The drinks were great, we loved the Freedom lager and both of the lovely organic wines.
Go and try it yourself, i know i'll be back there soon!!!
Bon Appetit

This is a cosy place with a very friendly atmosphere.
I wish that we heeded the warning of the last person to review here - the buffet was so nice that we actually failed to leave space for the dessert!
Vegetables appeared to be both healthy and adulterated (a difficult combination), particularly the aubergines, sweetcorn and potatoes. These were accompanied by an impressive range of salad, rice and noodles.
We will be returning, but leaving space for the 222 pancake next time!

Nice cosy little restaurant, food is excellent and all vegan if I remember correctly. It was also nice to see some excellent desserts on the menu (so leave some room!).
Not too cheap in the evening but lunchtimes are the time to go if you're worried about cost.

The best place for vegans to eat in London bar none. All the food is really tasty and the desserts (especially the vegan pancakes) are to die for. The 'All you Can Eat' lunchtime buffet is great value though go early as it can get very crowded. Just can't recommend this place enough.

It's the old sod's law isn't it? The very afternoon your private function over-runs, the restaurant is unusually busy from the word go and a staff member is late. All this on a a Sunday too that most people reserve for the papers and relaxing. Who would be a chef/owner? Well, me actually, but that's another story. Ben is like his cooking - honest. No pretension, no defensive aggression. When I called, he simply explained why. So I will forgive them the slightly underdone saute potatoes and painfully slow service but what can one poor lady do on her own with 12 tables to take orders from, deliver drinks to, explain the specials and deliver and clear meals from? I will go back, as I have done over a dozen times before because I still love this place and a tiny hiccough every now and then is allowed.

I went here on Saturday. At lunch time they have a 'help yourself' buffet, with cold and hot options. The hot selection was: tofu rissoles, a curry, brown rice and plaitain chips with a choice of 6 salads in the cold selection. I enjoyed everything I tried. I especially like going to places such as this where you do not have to check what is in the dish before choose what to try. My only reservation is that it is very cramped - a small price to pay for healthy and tasty food.

This restaurant is bijou in size and has the best food we have had in ages. It was a great price too, with a 3 course meal plus salads and wine coming in at just under £50 for 2. The desserts are worth waiting for too! Oh, and it does vegan wine for a tenner a bottle - brilliant!

I took my meat eating boyfriend here for lunch. We were both extremely hungry and hoping that the place would live up to the expectations created from the glowing reviews previously posted. We opted for the lunch buffet at £6 per head and tucked into the dishes on offer. Wholemeal pasta, mixed bean salad, tomatoes and cucumbers in a gorgeous dressing, curried rice with cashews, coleslaw, roasted potatoes, a sweetcorn tart and mixed bean ragout became piled high upon our plates and we still went back for more. The food is very tasty and feels healthy as you eat it. We ordered an orange juice and an apple juice costing £1.80 each. The seating is quite close together, however, the restaurant was fairly empty when we went so we were quite lucky. Will definitely be giving this another try as the set menu from the website looks delicious. An 8/10 from my boyfriend and 7.5/10 from myself!

We popped in here for their buffet lunch during the post Christmas sales period. It's an easy walk from West Brompton tube. This is my second visit and I have to try hard to think of anywhere where the food has been so flavoursome, fresh and moreish. Three cold items: wholemeal spaghetti salad with smoked sesame oil of which I had three portions; a divine vegan coleslaw, made with soya milk, (but the chef told me he is experimenting with oat milk and rice milk); cucumber and tomato salad - made with organic veg the cucumber's flavour is far superior to my bog standard supermarket purchases. Brown basmati rice, a hearty chick pea stew and a sweet and sour dish with seitan completed the hot offerings. A couple of dishes were then added but even I was too full to cope with any more. £6 a head. I defy anyone to find better food or better value in the whole of London.
You come to this smallish place to eat; it's rather short on ambience, the small tables are arranged in neat rows to get in as many people as possible - but it's very clean and thus just a whisker away from feeling like a canteen.
We all had starters - my pancake was very good and my main - seitan with mushroom and brown rice was delicious - a generous portion with juicy mushrooms - but I wish they would serve the salad accompaniment separately as the lettuce wilts in the heat and the other salad ingredients become unpleasantly warm.
My cheesecake was disappointing - rather grainy tasting and worthy - not a patch on the mango cheesecake at Sowerby Bridge a few weeks ago - but at this point the kids snorted in derision and said I was too fussy and their pudding was fine. With coffee and drinks, the bill for four was a very reasonable £84. Service was a little slow but being Saturday night, the place was very busy. I would definitely visit again.
We visited this restaurant after reading the good reviews here and were not disappointed. The eat as much as you like buffet lunch really is excellent value and excellent quality.
One thing I would warn others thinking of visiting at lunch-time, is to get there early as the place was jam packed the day we went! 10 out of 10.

Kids friendly, 100 % vegan, but offers cow's milk for drinks, wholefood, organic where possible, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (incl. smoothies, fresh juices) great desserts caters for all kinds of special dietary needs
This restaurant is a real gem. It proves that veggie food does not need to be bland or boring. The team believes in wholefood, freshest ingredients, healthy cooking techniques (no deep-frying), use of extra virgin olive oil, organic produce where possible and no use of additives of any kind. The buffet lunch offers a wide selection of fresh salads and yummy, internationally inspired, hot dishes.
In the evening, the setting is more romantic with candles in the window and dimmed lights. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can enjoy freshly-prepared (obviously that takes a bit more time sometimes) delicious dishes from all over the world.
The nearest tube stations are West Kensington and West Brompton. Earl's Court is not too far away and Fulham Broadway or High Street Kensington are easily accessible by bus. And, don't be put off by North End road. It is not the most beautiful street in London, but a real treat of a restaurant should not be judged by its location. Come and judge for yourself. You will not regret it.

The lunch offer of all you can eat for £5 is excellent - nice surroundings and friendly staff.

I visited 222 with my partner at lunchtime to take advantage of the £5 per person 'all you can eat' buffet. The food was both delicious and filling, and at £5 is excellent value. The restaurant has an a-la-carte menu in the evenings, is licensed and caters well for vegans.
