What a lovely place, excellent food, Jane and Cliff made us very welcome, vegan heaven, we will be coming back soon. 10/10 I can not praise the place enough.

Simply the very best you could possibly expect from a B&B. Wonderful country setting, superb hospitality and the most fantastic home cooked vegetarian food on Earth!! Not to mention the charismatic animal residents. I have stayed many times and when I leave I really feel as though I have received the very best possible hospiltality. I cannot recommend Fern Tor highly enough

Fern Tor is situated in a lovely part of unspoilt Devon. Fabulous walks from the doorstep and, for a rural area, a relatively good bus service to the coasts. But the real reason to stay at Fern Tor is the vegan food and the rescued animals. The former is of the highest quality (breakfast and dinner) and the latter are heart-warming. Cliff and Jane are congenial hosts and you're likely to meet like-minded guests to chat with. 10/10.

FernTor is the best place in Devon, Exmoor and Cornwall for vegans. The food is delicious. Jane is the best cook - you can trust so! The surrounding is very nice. You don´t need a car - take the bus. It stops just in front of FernTor if you make a sign (wave your arm). It´s just 30 minutes away from the sea. Last but not least: the animals. All rescued - you will love them forever.

We have stayed here a few times, even though we live locally, just because the food is so good! This friendly couple have always made us very welcome and we have been impressed not only with their catering and hospitality, but with the way that they take in animals (battery hens, rabbits, pigs etc.) that are in need of a good home and look after them.
