A kitchen fire has closed down this place but a message on the ansaphone says it is hoping to reopen on the 18th February.

Come here if you love mock meat or even if you don't as tofu is prepared as well.

A separate vegetarian menu and vegetarian set meals means you don't feel left out. Try to come early as it does get busy and is popular with groups and parties. Interestingly, the couple on the table near us and a woman customer on another table were also ordering vegetarian. Food is piping hot and fresh. Staff are friendly. Only downside is tables are rather close together, but you won't be able to fault the food. Reasonably priced.

Situated just off the rather dull High Street in Fareham and looking nothing special from the outside, don't let this put you off.

The restaurant is spacious and popular; several large parties were already enjoying themselves when we arrived at around 8pm on a warm summer evening.

There is a separate vegetarian menu and a two person feast, consisting of, among other things, mock duck, so Mr Big was sorted. I was not too taken with the mock fish - it was a bit too realistic for me - but the rest of the food was delicious. Service was very good and friendly, despite being so busy. Recommended.

Family-run Chinese restaurant with an extensive vegetarian menu. There is a "vegetarian feast" set menu available; minimum 2 people but you can order the same dishes separately if you need to. Child friendly, large non-smoking area. I have eaten here a number of times over the past 2 years and never been disappointed. Gets busy after 8pm, booking recommended.

They claim that their "mock" dishes comply with Vegetarian Society UK guidelines.
